Overview
This is the most complete southern itinerary in our catalogue. Three days, two nights, and four major monuments — each separated by stretches of the Nile that feel unchanged since the Ptolemaic period. You arrive in Aswan via the desert road, sail by felucca on the first evening, cross to Abu Simbel before dawn on the second, and return north through the riverside temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu on the third. Your Egyptologist guide is with you throughout the journey. Two nights are at the Basma Hotel in Aswan, chosen for its hillside position above the Nile and quiet evening atmosphere. A five-star upgrade to the Movenpick Aswan is available on request. The pace is engineered for cultural depth, not speed. Day 2 is the longest, with the pre-dawn run to Abu Simbel; we recommend an unhurried evening on Day 1 to prepare.
