Overview
Sataya Reef — the southern Red Sea's quiet, crescent-shaped lagoon — is home to one of the most reliable resident populations of wild spinner dolphins in Egyptian waters. The reef sits roughly two hours by boat from Hamata's small port. The dolphins are wild, not fed, not corralled — and they come to the lagoon to rest after their night hunts in the open sea. Our protocol is strict: snorkelers only, no touching, no chasing, no flash photography. The dolphins choose whether to interact, and they generally do. We operate Sataya as a small-group experience — maximum twenty guests on board — so that the lagoon receives a minimal human footprint and your day on the water is unhurried. Sightings are highly reliable but never guaranteed; these are wild animals, and we never compromise their rest behaviour to produce a "show."
